Founded in 1999, Capital Business Solutions, headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida USA, set out to become one of the highest-skilled and most knowledgeable business brokerage in the South Florida area.

Roberta Caputo, our Founder and Managing Director, is the content expert for Kaplan University for Business Brokerage and Succession Planning. She has written courses to train Business Brokers across the USA.

Kaplan University (now Purdue University Global) is a regionally accredited university dedicated to helping adult students who need flexibility to fit higher education into their busy lives. The University was one of the first institutions to offer higher education online, starting with just 34 students and a handful of degree options. Over the years it expanded its academic offerings and in 2004 began to offer master’s programs. The University was acquired by Purdue University in March 2018 and renamed Purdue University Global. The Gold Standard for professional certification for Business Brokers is the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation through the International Business Brokers Association. Here at Capital Business Solutions we have several Certified Business Intermediaries on our team to handle the most complex of transactions with professionalism and confidentiality.

The IBBA is the world’s largest professional community of business intermediary specialists. Association of Professional Merger & Acquisition Advisors

We operate to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism as outlined by the Association of Professional Merger & Acquisition Advisors. The relationships with APMAA members expands our reach to Buyers, Sellers and other professionals.

The Association of Professional Merger & Acquisition Advisors (APMAA) is an international organization bringing together business brokers, intermediaries, corporate M&A professionals, and individuals providing transactional support services such as attorneys, accountants, certified valuation analysts, and banking officers.

NEBB Institute

Our Business Valuations have been used in state courts, The NEBB has two professional certifications which we have earned in our advisory firm – Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser and Senior Business Analyst. When there is an option, go with trained and certified professionals.

The experienced and USPAP compliant Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (CMEA), who are members of NEBB Institute, are qualified appraisers to prepare a qualified appraisal required by the IRS, Council of Foundations, and U.S. Small Business Administration’s Standard Operating Procedures 50 10 (5) (J).

A Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) is an advocate of the appraisal, not of any person or entity. We are the experts at locating and determining substantiated values on the equipment. We hold and promote the ethics and reporting guidelines.

Texas Association of Business Brokers Inc.

Many of the founding brokers are still active in the business and in TABB.
